Blame game: ‘Centre sabotaging K-P govt’s efforts’
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan claims the federal government has been unfair with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
PESHAWAR:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan claims the federal government has been unfair with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and is putting all its efforts to sabotage the provincial government’s efforts. Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the special package for provision of subsidised flour and ghee to deserving people at CM Secretariat on Tuesday, Khan said 2.5 million displaced persons was an additional burden on the resources of the province and the federal government was not extending any assistance. Speaking on the occasion, Pervez Khattak said a total of 5.6 million people will benefit from the package worth Rs7 billion, adding that the provincial government has been putting all its efforts to facilitate the public in health and education among other sectors. The deserving families, he said, would be issued two vouchers worth Rs600 per month through which they can purchase these commodities from their nearby utility store.
