HBL crush Karachi Blues
Departmental side continues good form in Quaid-i-Azam Trophy.
HBL defeated Karachi Blues by eight wickets to continue their winning run in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy. Aslam Qureshi demolished the Blues with a fine spell of six for 48 as the hosts were bundled out for just 144 in their second innings at the DHA Stadium facing a first-innings deficit of 121. In reply, HBL lost two wicket but the result was never in doubt after they were set 24 to win.
PIA draw with Rawalpindi
PIA drew with Rawalpindi after reaching 250 for six in their second innings on the last day at the Pindi Stadium. Trailing by 109 runs in the first innings, Kamran Sajid (60) faced 221 deliveries for his 60 runs while Shoaib Khan hit a 159-ball 55 as PIA made sure of the draw.
Sialkot-SNGPL draw as well
A high-scoring game eventually finished as a draw as Sialkot reached 278 for four on the final day at the Jinnah Stadium against SNGPL. Kamran Younis hit a whirlwind 137 off just 109 deliveries while Mohammad Ayub made 54. Earlier, the hosts, who made a massive 465 in their first innings, bowled out the departmental side for 422.
Faisalabad reach 141
Faisalabad, faced with a stiff 279-run target on the final day, reached 141 for one in 31 overs as they drew with ZTBL at the Sports Stadium in Sargodha. Farrukh Shahzad hit an unbeaten 62 off just 90 balls while Asif Hussain made 77. Earlier, ZTBL declared at 220 for five with Yasir Hameed making 41 and Inamul Haq hitting 67.
