Intercity commuting: Special teams to monitor fares
The secretary said passengers could also lodge complaints about the performance on complaint number.

The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) on Monday constituted special squads to monitor fares being charged by intercity bus service providers from commuters during the last week of Ramazan. Mobile squads will perform special duties at various terminals including Soan Adda, Pirwadhai Bus Stand and Peshawar Road to facilitate commuters intending to leave for their native places to celebrate Eid, said RTA Secretary Owais Manzoor Tarrar. He said a helpline (9270011) has also been set up at the authority’s office to entertain complaints from 9am to 8pm. The secretary said passengers could also lodge complaints about the performance of the special squads on the cell phone number: 0321-4234140 to help improve their efficiency.
