Robbery: General store outlet looted

The police have lodged a case, but no arrests or recoveries had been made till the filing of this report.

RAWALPINDI: Three armed robbers looted a general store outlet on a main road in New Town in broad day light after making the shop owner hostage at gunpoint. The armed men entered the shop of Ashraf at day time and deprived him of Rs250,000 and a cell phone after holding him hostage at gunpoint. By the time, the police reached the scene, the robbers had fled. Shopkeepers in the area protested against the police for failing to provide security to the traders. The police have lodged a case, but no arrests or recoveries had been made till the filing of this report.
