Brand new: Booking opens for Toyota Corolla

IMC says $100m invested in improvements.

Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC) – Pakistan’s second largest carmaker – has announced that booking of its new Toyota Corolla model would get under way on Wednesday (today).


This is the fourth model of the globally acclaimed sedan to be manufactured by IMC, as per Toyota’s Global Quality Standards.

“With the new Corolla, we aim to excite our customers on a whole new level. For this, we have invested around $100 million in technology transfer and production facility improvements,” IMC Chief Executive Parvez Ghias said.

The new Corolla Altis is powered by a 1,800cc, Dual VVTI engine with a seven-speed Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) that ensures seamless gear shifting, smooth acceleration, and low RPM while accelerating, resulting in a better performance and fuel efficiency.


Corolla Altis Grande, the 11th generation Corolla, has been completely redesigned.

The shape and the aerodynamics provide greater agility and reduced air resistance. The new front and rear lamps provide an aesthetic appeal along with a sport type, Paddle gear shifting to enhance driving thrill are also provided. The lower stance reduces air drag, resulting in improved road grip and greater fuel economy and a softer suspension system ensuring a comfortable and smooth ride.

The interior has been designed with a view to offer a spacious cabin and a larger trunk area. The wheelbase has been expanded to provide maximum comfort and convenience. The seats have been redesigned to improve comfort and increased legroom, while the dual tone beige and black interior, leather trimmings along with chrome accents provide a feeling of grandeur and luxury.

In order to maximize the ride comfort and utility, several unique features have been introduced such as the auto adjustable drive seat, rear reclining seats, intelligent Android-based touch screen audio and steering switches to access the in-car entertainment system with convenience. The centre cluster, with all major controls is ergonomically placed to allow intuitive interaction.
