ATC on Tuesday sent two suspects to jail
KARACHI:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday sent two suspects to jail on judicial custody remand in connection with their alleged involvement in a murder case. ATC-I sent two men, Umair alias Jailer and Muhammad Nadeem alias Nadeem Bihari, to jail till July 25 after the police produced them before the court. According to the prosecution, the suspects were accused of killing two men, Mufti Zeeshan and Danish Kamal, in Zia Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal on May 25, 2012. The prosecution added that the suspects were arrested on June 18, 2014, and they allegedly confessed to their involvement in the murder case. A case, No.358/12, under sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code read with section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, was registered at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station.
