Clean drinking water: Most water filtration plants dysfunctional

Mir Ali complained that the water plants have become problematic for the residents

ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has failed to fix faulty water filtration plants across the capital.

“Millions of rupees have been spent on these water filtration plants, but most of them have gone out of order,” said Sanaullah, a resident of G-7.

A number of residents in sectors F-6, G-7 and I-10 said that they have lodged complaints with the CDA office, but the pleas have fallen on a deaf ear.

Mir Ali, another resident of sector G-7, complained that the water plants have become problematic for the residents as most of them were not functioning.

He said that the water filtration plants of G-7/1, G-7/3, and G-7/4 are out of order.

When contacted, a CDA official claimed that the faulty filtration plants would soon be fixed.
