MULTAN:

A woman was killed after allegedly being burnt by her husband on Saturday.

Mian Channu police said 28-year-old Noor Bibi had Ali Akbar seven years ago. They said the couple had four children.

Ali Hasan, Bibi’s brother, told newsmen that the couple had argued over financial matters. He said Akbar had threatened to kill his sister and had beaten her on several occasions. He said Akbar was unemployed and was unable to support his family.

He said on Saturday, Akbar doused her with petrol and set her on fire.

The woman was taken to Civil Hospital in Talamba where she died.
