Legal way: Cases against 18 for ASI’s murder
Garh police on Friday registered a case against 18 people clubbing an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) to death.

Garh police on Friday registered a case against 18 people, including 13 women, clubbing an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) to death. ASI Rehmat Ali of Garh police had raided a house in Garh Fateh Shah to arrest proclaimed offender Jaafar Ali. Police said when the police team entered the house, some female inmates attacked it with clubs, sticks and pelted stones on them. They also attacked the police team when they were taking the proclaimed offender away. ASI Rehmat Ali was taken to a hospital where he died. Garh police station house officer (SHO) said a case was registered under Sections 302, 324, 353, 225, 186, 148 and 149 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against 18 persons including Muhammad Ali, Zakir Ali, Zafar Ali, Sakina Bibi, Saadia Bibi, Sakina Shoban, Zahooran Bibi, Kaneezan Bibi, Bashiran Bibi, Khursheed Bibi and Shareefan Bibi. He said police had were looking for them.
