Governance: ‘Monitoring improves service delivery’

Minister visits Ramazan Bazaars in Sialkot, Daska to review prices, quality of daily use items being sold in bazaars.

Minister for Minerals Chaudhry Sher Ali on Thursday visited Ramazan Bazaars in Sialkot and Daska to review prices and quality of daily use items being sold in the bazaars.


Talking to newsmen at the office of Daska assistant commissioner, he said regular monitoring of Ramazan bazaars by government officials was bringing down the prices of the vegetables, fruits and other daily use commodities and had help improve their quality. He said Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had approved a special subsidy of Rs5 billion for public in a bid to ensure maximum financial relief to the masses. Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu told the provincial minister that the district administration had established eight Ramzan bazaars and 42 fair price shops in the district.
