Lake View Park: Illegal kiosks taking over park
CDA environment directorate official claims authority would take strict action against encroachers.
ISLAMABAD:
Illegal kiosks and unauthorised constructions have eaten into a major portion of the Lake View Park, the largest park of the capital. According to Capital Development Authority (CDA) bylaws, no illegal kiosks or permanent structure can be raised in catchment areas of the dam. The rule is meant to keep the water from being polluted. The CDA, however, has turned a blind eye to illegal construction in the area. A CDA environment directorate official claimed the authority would take strict action against encroachers.
