One of its kind: SC to hear petition against PM
Social activist demands apex court hear case for transparent administrative system in Pakistan.
MULTAN:
The Supreme Court will hear the petition of social activist Faheem Akhtar today (Wednesday) against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and all the chief ministers for contempt of court. The court has issued the notices to all respondents for the hearing. Earlier, in December, the Supreme Court had allowed a petition against the prime minister, chief minister and chief secretaries of Pakistan. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Akhtar demanded that the apex court hear the case for a transparent administrative system in Pakistan. He added that he has mentioned more than 10 examples about transfers on political grounds in south Punjab.
