Raids: Police arrest five outlaws

The police spokesman said security has been heightened is the capital.

ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested five outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered a stolen car, weapons and valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said. Kohsar police arrested Pervez in possession of a stolen car (RLC-901), which was stolen from the jurisdiction of Race Course police, Lahore. Bhara Kahu police arrested a suspect, Shah Jahan, in possession of 120 gram hashish. Similarly, Ramana police arrested Zamadul Nass and recovered a 30-bore pistol and ammunition from him. Cases have been registered against the suspects and investigation is under way. Meanwhile, Islamabad police nabbed two proclaimed offenders during a crackdown against absconders. The police, during checking, also impounded four vehicles and 62 bikes which were being driven without documents. A police team also apprehended two suspects from different areas of the city during search operation. The police spokesman said security has been heightened is the capital. He said the police have raided various areas to arrest the proclaimed offenders.
