A security official was among five people killed and four others injured on Sunday in separate acts of violence in Balochistan.
According to details, two people were killed when gunmen opened indiscriminate fire in Killi Kamalu at Sariab, a suburb of the provincial capital.
Police rushed to the site shortly after the incident and moved the bodies to the hospital. The deceased were identified as Ghalib Hussain and Nisar Ahmed. Police speculate that an old enmity may have triggered the killings.
Panic spread in the area after the incident. Police have registered a case and investigations are under way.
Meanwhile, a member of Balochistan Constabulary (BC) was gunned down in Kuchlak. According to official reports, armed assailants riding on two-wheelers, opened fire on Muhammad Ashraf on the Chaman Highway.
He was shifted to hospital soon after the incident where he succumbed to his injuries.
