Justice Nasirul Mulk takes oath as 22nd Chief Justice of Pakistan

Justice Nasirul Mulk on Sunday took oath as the country's 22nd chief justice, Express News reported.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain and other political leaders were present during the oath-taking ceremony. President Hussain administered the oath at the President House.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran and its translation.
Mulk will remain the Chief Justice of Pakistan till August 16, 2015. He has replaced Tassudaq Hussain Jillani as the chief of the top court, after Jillani’s retirement on July 4.
Born on August 17, 1950, in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Justice Nasirul Mulk is a barrister-at-law of the Inner Temple, London.
He was elected as secretary general, Peshawar High Court Bar Association in 1981.
Before his appointment as judge of the Peshawar High Court on June 4, 1994, he served as advocate general of NWFP (now renamed K-P) for one year. He was elevated as chief justice of Peshawar High Court on May 31, 2004 and as a Supreme Court judge on April 4, 2005.
