Third seed dismisses England’s Haycocks 3-0 in last eight.
KARACHI:
Pakistan’s Nasir Iqbal moved into the CCI $25,000 Professional Squash Association (PSA) International Championship semi-finals after beating England’s Jaymie Haycocks 3-0 in their last-eight clash in Mumbai, India.
He will now take on home boy Mahesh Mangaonkar, who created a big upset by gunning down second seed Ong Beng Hee of Malaysia 3-1.
Iqbal, who is seeded third for the event, won the first frame with ease against the fifth seed Haycocks. However, he had to fight to win the second frame as his opponent tried hard to balance the tie. The Bannu-based player then won the match with scores of 11-5, 11-8 and 11-7.
