New abode: CDA to initiate uplift work in I-12 next week

Sector I-12 is on the priority list.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated 44 per cent of its total budget for infrastructural development in new and stalled sectors to overcome shortage of housing units in the city.  



CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal said this during his visit to Sector I-12 along other officials.


The chairman directed the engineering wing to immediately start development work in the sector. He said initially Rs200 million has been allocated for the purpose, however, if needed, more funds will be provided.


During the current financial year, focus has been on completing development work in the stalled sectors where work was pending for many years, he said, adding that they have allocated funds for mega projects and repair and upgradation of existing infrastructure.


He said Sector I-12 is on the priority list and directed the engineering wing to initiate the earth work in the sector from next week.
