WAPDA defeat Islamabad
Faisal, Ayub hit centuries on day two in Quaid-i-Azam Trophy.
Wapda defeated Islamabad by ten wickets on the second day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy.
After gaining a 122-run first-innings lead, Wapda restricted Islamabad to 122 and needed just one run to seal the win. Ali Azmat scored 61 while Rana Navedul Hassan grabbed three wickets for 46 runs.
HBL make strong recovery
After being reduced to 52 for three overnight, HBL recovered and posted 299 thanks to Khaqan Arsal’s 80-run innings, Azhar Mehmood’s 54 and Kamran Hussain’s unbeaten 78.
Rawalpindi stage recovery
Rawalpindi looked stable at the close of play at 183 for four with Naved Malik scoring 76, after they restricted PIA for 214 as Nasir Malik did most of the damage with a six for 66.
Sialkot dominate
SNGPL were left at a precarious 66 for two, after Sialkot cruised to 465 in the first innings. Hafiz Jahangir posted 92, Faisal Khan (108) and Mohammad Ayub (116) completed centuries to consolidate the Sialkot innings.
Multan falter
Multan were limited to 63 for five in the second innings after 303 on day one after NBP scored 261 in their first-innings. For NBP, Uzairul Haq was the star after grabbing three for 23, whereas Naumanullah (78*) and Kamran Akmal (60) showed good form.
Strong ZTBL foresee trouble
After smashing 345 in the first innings, ZTBL were given a scare by Faislabad as they posted 151 for the loss of just one wicket on day two. Farrukh Shahzad led the batting with an unbeaten 76.
