Spate of violence: Five dead in separate incidents

The assailants approached Zahid, a resident of Spalga Torikhel, and shot him dead, before fleeing.

BANNU:
At least five people were killed and four others were injured in separate incidents in Bannu district on Wednesday. According to a report filed with Saddar police, Shafiur Rehman and Khan Wali barged into Shah Alam’s house and opened fire over a family dispute. As a result, Amina Bibi and Jamala Bibi died on the spot. Shah Alam opened retaliatory fire and killed Shafiur Rehman. Both groups filed FIRs against each other. In another incident, a man identified as Pilas Khan died in an accident in the limits of Bakakhel police station. Khan’s sons Saidullah, Ghaniullah, a grandson and a granddaughter sustained injuries. Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by unidentified culprits near Old Sabzi Mandi in the limits of Saddar police station. The assailants approached Zahid, a resident of Spalga Torikhel, and shot him dead, before fleeing.
