Clemency: Fifteen prisoners released in Bajaur Agency

Shah ordered the release of 15 prisoners who had been involved in petty crimes.

The political administration of Bajaur Agency on Wednesday released 15 prisoners, who were involved in petty crimes.


These prisoners were detained under the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) at the political administration headquarters jail in Khar.


Bajaur Agency’s political agent Abdul Jabar Shah along with senior officials of the administration visited the prison where they held a brief court inside the premises of the jail.


The political agent was informed by officials of the number of inmates and the crimes they had committed.


Shah then ordered the release of 15 prisoners who had been involved in petty crimes.


They were released so that they could spend Ramazan with their families.


The political agent also visited various barracks where he heard the grievances of prisoners during his visit.
