National team can defeat all others: Waqar Younis
Recently-appointed coach says national team needs to have right mix of senior, young players for World Cup 2015.

Terming World Cup 2015 his main focus, recently-appointed coach Waqar Younis said the cricket national team needs to have the right combination of senior and young players to give its best in the international event.
Addressing the media in Lahore, Younis expressed confidence that the team was capable of defeating any other team.
“Talent has always been there in Pakistan; what we need is better preparation,” he said, adding that he strongly believes in focusing on fielding and fitness of the players.
The coach further said he will try his best to live up to the nation’s expectations and do his best to not repeat past mistakes.
Commenting on the emotional attachment the nation has with the game, Younis said he knows how important these matches are for people and that he will train the team to give its best and avoid disappointing the nation.
“We will play positive cricket and we will play for winning,” he said, adding that he took the job because he is passionate about cricket and that he will try to transfer his passion to the team players.
Speaking about the importance of a coach, Younis said that a coach is a necessary element in any team and a fatherly figure which keeps the group together.
