Avoiding justice: Murder suspect flees police custody

The suspect’s lawyers apparently helped the suspect flee while he was at the court for his hearing.

LAHORE:
A man accused of murdering two people escaped police custody with the help of his lawyers after a Lahore High Court judge rejected his bail plea on Monday. Tandlianwala police had registered a case against Zaman Shah for allegedly murdering two people. The investigation officer told the court that all evidence collected during the investigation pointed towards the suspect. Relying on the police’s statement, Justice Mahmood Maqbool Bajwa dismissed the suspect’s bail petition. The suspect’s lawyers apparently helped the suspect flee while he was at the court for his hearing.
