The Islamabad Police have decided to launch a campaign against professional alms-seekers during Ramazan and to arrest the beggars from outside worship places and shopping centres in the city. Senior Superintendent of the Islamabad Police (SSP) Muhammad Ali Nekokara has directed all SHOs to ensure elaborate security arrangements, particularly during the prayers timings, and also asked patrolling officers to take action against beggars in their respective jurisdictions.
