On the run: House-to-house search for Zanglani gang

Security forces on Monday continued their search for members of the Ghulam Hussain Zanglani gang in Pattizai area.



On Sunday, a joint operation was conducted by police, Elite Force, Border Military Police and Balochistan Levies personnel against the gang. Army helicopters had also supported the action. A number of hideouts of the gang were destroyed in the operation. After the operation, Border Military Police Commandant Shahid Mehboob ordered the security personnel to carry out a house-to-house search in the area. Police have also set up check-posts in the area, while 500 Balochistan Levies personnel would also remain there to keep the outlaws from returning. According to sources, members of Zinglani gang were hiding in caves and many of them were injured. Dera Ghazi Khan District Police Officer Ghulam Mubashar Maikan said the operation would not stop until all the criminals were arrested or eliminated.
