Samajwadi Party leader arrested for 'breach of peace' after chanting pro-Pakistan slogan
SP leader, Mehmood Alam screamed “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Narendra Modi murdabad.”

After a scuffle with the police, a leader of Samajwadi Party (SP) reportedly raised pro-Pakistan slogans which prompted his arrest in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district on Monday, Hindustan Times reported.
Police claimed that Mehmood Alam was harassing passers-by and extorting them for money, further alleging that he was drunk at the time.
When officials tried to arrest him, he resisted and objected to police detention and questioning. As six officials tried to grab him, Alam screamed “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Narendra Modi murdabad.”
An official said that local officials had initially booked Alam for "breach of peace," but later stricter action was ordered against Alam and sedition was added to the list of charges against him.
Police constables handling the case have been asked to be careful and abide by the law.
