Providing succour: Chief minister urges donations for IDPs
Sharif said government officers would also contribute a day’s salary to the fund.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said that the government would extend all kinds of support possible to the displaced people of North Waziristan. Sharif said Rs500 million had been set aside for this purpose in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The chief minister was chairing a meeting to review steps undertaken to assist the displaced people of North Waziristan. He added that members of the provincial cabinet and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmakers in the provincial assembly had contributed a month’s salary towards the fund. Sharif said government officers would also contribute a day’s salary to the fund.
Participants of the meeting decided that the government would extend financial assistance to the internally displaced persons. Sharif constituted a special committee in this regard. The committee will be headed by MPA Khurram Gulfam.
