Did you know? Govinda’s daughter to make Bollywood debut
The upcoming actor Narmada Ahuja will be launched opposite Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal.
The latest in the line to follow the Bollywood tradition of kid’s following in their celebrity parent’s footsteps is actor Govinda’s daughter Narmada Ahuja. Times of India confirmed that the upcoming actor Ahuja will be launched opposite Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal in filmmaker Smeep Kang’s forthcoming Hindi film.
Besides Narmada, this untitled project will mark the debut of both the actor and director in the Hindi film industry. Gippy, who is already famous for singing the upbeat popular track Angreji Beat with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh used in 2012 hit Cocktail and who is a well known face in Punjabi films, will be playing the male lead.
Fondly known as Chi Chi in the acting industry, Govinda has established himself in Bollywood with his trademark acting and dancing abilities, and has reportedly been eagerly waiting for the perfect opportunity to launch his daughter’s career, according to Bollywood Hungama.
Narmada, who has studied in the London Film Institute, is currently busy prepping up for her big Bollywood debut. The film is rumoured to be a comedy, which is interesting for a lot of Govinda fans, who have seen the actor flourish in comedy roles in movies such as Coolie no.1, Hero no.1 and Partner. The film is slated to go on floor in August.
