Hit-and-run: Woman dies on road

RAWALPINDI:
A woman was killed in a road accident on Thursday. The deceased was travelling on motorcycle with her son when a speeding car, driven by a woman, knocked their motorcycle on Expressway near Dhoke Kala Khan.

She was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) where the doctors pronounced her dead. Later, the body was handed over to the family for burial, the hospital sources said.

Mohsin Ali in his statement told the Shahzad Town police that a woman driver hit his motorcycle while they were travelling along the road and fled leaving his mother critically injured.

The police registered a case against the woman and started investigation.
