Polling postponed: HDBA elections rescheduled
The elections will now be held on July 26 instead of July 19.
HYDERABAD:
The elections for the Hyderabad District Bar Association (HDBA)have been rescheduled after lawyers objected over the earlier schedule and election committee.
Sindh Bar Council secretary Advocate Zainul Abidin has requested the Hyderabad district and sessions judge to conduct the elections under his or one of his judges' supervision.
The elections will now be held on July 26 instead of July 19. The nomination forms will be received from July 7 to July 9, while the final list of eligible candidates will be displayed on July 15. Results will be out by July 28. The elected body will be responsible for holding the annual elections by December 2014, within five months of its tenure.
