Targeted attack: IED blast injures three in Bara

A bomb planted outside a house in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency injured three persons in the early hours of Thursday.
An official of the local political administration said the incident occurred in Bar Qamber Khel area of the tehsil.
He explained that unidentified militants had planted a bomb outside the house of a tribal elder, identified as Munsif Khan, who was formerly associated with a banned outfit.
The official added the bomb had been planted near the main gate and was detonated through a remote control just as Munsif was driving out of his house with two of his guards.
The official said all three were critically injured and rushed to a hospital in Peshawar. The boundary wall and main gate of the house, along with the vehicle, were also destroyed in the explosion.
