The one-judge tribunal headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najfi directed Sanaullah and Dr Tauqir to submit their sides of the story about the clashes on an affidavit by June 30.
Following the clashes, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif removed the former law minister and former principal secretary from their posts.
The tribunal also summoned those injured during the clashes. The Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) was directed to ensure the victims appeared before the tribunal.
Punjab home secretary and the commissioner of Lahore division have been summoned on June 30. Furthermore, Punjab secretary health has also been asked to appear before the tribunal along with medical officers of Jinnah Hospital, Services Hospital, General Hospital and Ganga Ram Hospital with postmortem records and medico legal reports of victims of the clashes.
On Thursday, the Punjab chief secretary appeared before the tribunal and justified the transfer of Inspector General Punjab (IGP), DCO Lahore and other police officers on the day of the clashes. Justifying the transfer and appointment of the new IGP, the chief secretary said a panel of three officers was set up and Shahbaz Sharif ordered to appoint Mushtaq Sukhera. He said that the transfer of DCO and other police officers were also routine transfers.
Appearing before the tribunal, Shafqat Mahmood Chohan, president of Lahore High Court Bar Association, said he and president of Lahore Bar Association wanted to assist the tribunal to carry out this inquiry. He said regardless of political affiliation and status of any personality, they wanted justice for the victims.
Lawyers also appeared before the tribunal and suggested that the tribunal should summon records of phone calls of Dr Tauqir to ascertain whom he was in contact with during the operation.
Another counsel suggested that the chief minister and former IGP Khan Baig should also be summoned.
On request of the tribunal, reporters of three television channels submitted footage of the incident.

The Tribunal is working in the right direction and Qadri should rethink his stance and cooperate with the Tribunal. If he persists on boycotting the proceedings, he will lose his credibility as usual.
I was in the High Court during all this. The way Rana Sana Ullah was making victory symbols and the way workers of PML(N) were chanting slogans within the court premisses was a shamet. A Sham Democracy, where those in power are over and above all the laws and the constitution.
@Adeel Pervaiz:
I can not agree with you more. I was going to say the same. What is so nice about Rana attending..?? He had to!!!.
@Enemy of MUNAFIQs:

Behavior of PML N leadership & Punjab Police is truly awful. Our sympathy is with victims and we acknowledge their bravery.
It is nice that Rana Sanaullah appeared before judicial commission formed to probe the June 17 clashes in Model Town, Lahore. Hope that this matter will be thoroughly investigated and appropriate actions will be taken to solve the issue. It will be a good precedent and will ensure rule of law in Pakistan.

All the culprits must be arrested instead of making them appear before controversial one man committee. Justice must be seen to be done instead of making blame games. Both sides must be held accountable for the loss of life.
