Peshawar plane attack: Cases registered against unidentified gunmen
Domestic flight operations resume at Bacha Khan International Airport after 11-hour shutdown

Peshawar police on Wednesday registered cases against unidentified men for the attack on a passenger plane at Peshawar airport, Express News reported.
On June 24, gunmen fired on Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-756 as it was landing at the Bacha Khan International Airport, killing a woman and injuring two others, including a crew member. The plane was carrying 178 passengers and crew members, and was travelling from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The deceased was identified as Mrs Maknon (passenger) while the injured were identified as Ijaz (flight steward) and Majid (passenger).
Flight operation resumed at the airport after 11 hours. However, three international flights were diverted to Islamabad from Peshawar.
More than 500 suspects have been arrested so far in the ongoing search operation by security forces in the Budh Bher area of the city as well as nearby areas.
The funeral prayers of the deceased woman was offered on Wednesday in Hayatabad Phase 6 and her body was taken to Nowshera for burial.
According to the initial report on the incident, the PIA plane was hit 10 times, however, the pilot managed to land the aircraft safely three minutes after the attack.
A compensation package was also announced for the victims of the attack. Family of the deceased woman will receive Rs0.5 million while the injured will receive Rs0.2 million each.
Security has been increased at the airport following the attack.
