Pleading insanity: Mentally disabled man kills mother
Police said initial interrogations had revealed that Shahbaz was mentally disabled.
FAISALABAD:
A man murdered his mother during a domestic spat on Monday. Sandal Bar police said Nooran Bibi had reprimanded her son Shahbaz, 30, alias Shazli, a resident of Chak 157-RB, over a domestic issue. Shahbaz attacked his mother with a club and injured her. Nooran Bibi was taken to Allied Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Police said initial interrogations had revealed that Shahbaz was mentally disabled. He is presently in police custody.
