After being bundled out for a paltry 190, hosts Karachi Blues fought back to reduce HBL to 52 for three on the opening day of their four-day match at the DHA Stadium. Earlier, it was Aslam Qureshi (five for 30) and Azhar Mahmood (two for 32) who ensured Karachi did not cross the 200-mark.
ZTBL impressive on day one
ZTBL did well to reach 270 for five on the first day of a four-day match against Faisalabad in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy. Atif Ashraf and Junaid Zia were unbeaten at close after both reached impressive half-centuries. Zia hit six fours in a 112-ball knock while Ashraf smashed seven boundaries in 136 deliveries at the Sports Stadium in Sargodha.

Taimoor Ahmed hit a quickfire 82 off just 109 balls and Kashif Naveed supported with a 66-ball 63. Waseem Khan continued with his wicket-taking spree, finishing with four for 46.
