Gunned down: JUI-F senator’s son shot dead in Wana
The house of the JUI-F senator in Tank was attacked in January this year

Unidentified men gunned down the son of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Senator Saleh Shah in Wana, South Waziristan on Thursday. An official of the political administration said Shamsul Islam, 30, was shot dead in Ashraf Khel village, close to Wana Bazaar, adding the reason behind the killing could not be ascertained. The official said the deceased belongs to the Mehsud tribe and it is unclear as to why he was in the area. Islam’s body was shifted to a hospital. The house of the JUI-F senator in Tank was attacked in January this year when militants lobbed a grenade inside the premises.
