Police have decided to conduct a targeted operation in Islamabad owing to security concerns, Express News reported on Thursday.
According to sources, Rangers will support the capital police and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in the operation. The Pakistan Army may be called as well.
After launching a military operation against militants in the troubled North Waziristan Agency of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), armed forces were deployed in major cities including Islamabad due to fear of terror attacks.
