ISLAMABAD: Police have decided to conduct a targeted operation in Islamabad owing to security concerns, Express News reported on Thursday.

According to sources, Rangers will support the capital police and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS)  in the operation. The Pakistan Army may be called as well.

After launching a military operation against militants in the troubled North Waziristan Agency of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), armed forces were deployed in major cities including Islamabad due to fear of terror attacks.

PAT was a targeted operation. The pseudo-intellectuals should observe the fact that there were weapons inside the area too. The problem with people is this that if public casualties would had happened due to people of Minhaj then they would had blamed police. And further, they completely ignore the fact that Dr Qadri gave a vibrant and provocative speech that very morning to incite his followers to die in any case. I think everyone should pay a heed not only to brutal act of police but also to the events and people who led to it.

I think in Pakistan the governments announce such operations before hand through media purposely and intentionally, so all the terrorists can hide or slip away, and hence the forces don't have to face any tough resistance and casualties during the 'so called operation'...
