In cold blood: Two tribesmen gunned down

Separately, a woman was found dead in Surizai, Badhaber.

PESHAWAR/JAMRUD:
Two tribesmen from Mohmand Agency were gunned down by unidentified motorcyclists in Bakshi Pul, Peshawar on Wednesday. Police said Syed Khan and Gulistan, residents of Latifabad, Ring Road, were commuting in a car when the gunmen ambushed them, injuring both severely. They were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) where they succumbed to their wounds. “The family is reluctant to share any information with us but we suspect it is a case of extortion which is why the family has lodged an FIR against unknown attackers, insisting they had no feud with anyone,” said an official of Khazana police station. In a separate incident, a woman was found dead in Surizai, Badhaber. Police said the body was mutilated beyond recognition as acid had been poured over the victim. “We have sent the body for an autopsy,” shared a police official.
