The Ministry of Religious Affairs has failed to collect passports of aspiring pilgrims from the banks where the registration for pilgrimage had been filed.
The banks present in the Hajj camps asked the people to contact the bank branches where the registrations had been made.
Meanwhile the Director of Hajj Abdul Sattar said corruption and mismanagement have not been committed on the part of the religious ministry and blamed the banks for not submitting the passports promptly.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked the government to address the matter of the Religious Affairs Ministry’s alleged embezzlement in their Hajj scheme, following a letter written by a Saudi prince addressed to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudrhry.
