MANSEHRA: Over three dozen tourists were deprived of cash and valuables worth thousands of rupees when unidentified men robbed them in Naran, Kaghan Valley early Monday morning. Police said over 36 picnickers from Lahore and Karachi, including children, were residing in tents near Saiful Malook Lake when around 10 robbers looted mobile phones, laptops, wrist watches, cameras and gold ornaments from them. Police said even though the district administration has banned camping in the valley owing to the law and order situation, tourists are reluctant to stay in hotels and choose to camp out instead. Police said the visitors were warned not to stay outside hotels or designated places meant for tourists but they did not listen and were thus looted.
