Heinous crime: Convict gets death for abduction, rape
The prosecution said the boy’s body was thrown in a canal.
BAHAWALPUR:
A man was convicted of kidnapping, rape and murder and sentenced to death on Saturday. The prosecution said Sub Inspector Muhammad Hanif’s son Muhammad Luqman Hanif was abducted nine months ago by Zunair Younis, Saqib Khursheed and Ali Hassan when he went to the market. They said the boy was raped and later shot dead. The prosecution said the boy’s body was thrown in a canal. The court sentenced Zunair Younis to death and awarded 25 years imprisonment each to two co-accused, Saqib Khursheed and Ali Hassan.
