Sindh budget: Industrialisation issue remains unattended
The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) has expressed disappointment over the budget and urged Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to help utilise the abundant resources.
The most important issues of energy, industrialisation of Sindh, cottage industries and farm sector remained unattended.
Measures for the promotion of alternate energy, setting up industries and improving farm efficiency were not given priority.
UNISAME President Zulfikar Thaver said the Sindh government is very lethargic despite the fact that there is an abundant and rewarding scope in agro processing industries, cattle farming, fisheries and cottage industries.
The province has the best crops, pulses, fruits and flowers along with a number of value addition products, SME units could be set up all over the province.
The union urged the Sindh government to study the Punjab model of growth.
