Tremors felt in Peshawar as quake hits Afghanistan

PESHAWAR:
Earthquake tremors were felt in Peshawar, Chitral, Upper Dir and surrounding areas, Express News reported on Saturday.

According to the USGS, a 5.4-magnitude earthquake hit Afghanistan, around 45km south-southwest of Jarm, causing tremors to be felt in Pakistan as well.

Panic spread among residents of the areas, forcing them to rush out of their homes.


No loss of life has been reported at this time.
