Running private prison: SC rejects bail plea of Sardar Khetran
The bench refuses to accept the contention of defence that Khetran was framed in false cases.

The Supreme Court has rejected the bail application of Balochistan Assembly member Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, who is in judicial custody since January 16, 2014, in four different cases. The bench refused to accept the contention of defence that Khetran was framed in false cases.
The two judge bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Amir Hani Muslim on Thursday heard the bail application, filed by Khetran, a JUI-F MPA, who is detained in four different cases for the last five months. His bail plea has already been rejected by the lower court as well as high court.

Khetran was charged in January for running a private prison at his residence in Barkhan and torturing and snatching weapons of police officials, who had raided the dungeon and freed at least eight captives.
