Intra-regional cooperation: SAARC delegation leaves for India

Free movement of the business community will help also improve the environment, said Iftikhar Ali Malik.

ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Pak chapter on Thursday left for New Delhi on a five-day visit. Leader of the Pakistan delegation, SAARC VP Iftikhar Ali Malik, prior to his departure at Wagha border said that the newly elected SCCI President from Maldives Ismail Asif has convened the maiden meeting of its vice-presidents and senior VP to formulate a fresh viable strategy unanimously in the prevailing global scenario. The aim is to boost economic relations and promote trade among member states to do away with abject poverty and for the betterment and welfare of the neglected segments of the society in region. He added that the issue to augment Pak-Indo relations for improvement in economic cooperation will also be taken up. He said that free movement of the business community will help also improve the environment.
