KRL’s win lifts them to third

KESC beat NBP in football league.

KARACHI:
Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) improved their standing in the Pakistan Premier League when they defeated PMC Athletico 2-0 while Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation (KESC) beat National Bank of Pakistan 4-1.

KRL’s Muhammad Luqman scored the first goal in the 20th minute against PMC. Mudassar Saeed doubled the score in the 23rd minute. Following PMC’s failure to score, KRL’s win moved them to the third spot in the league with 30 points where they sit behind Wapda (44) and Pakistan Army (36).


Meanwhile, KESC took an early lead against NBP in the 11th minute through Muhammad Riaz, while Aurangzeb Senior doubled the lead in the 18th minute. Aurangzeb junior scored the third goal as NBP’s Naved Hamza netted the only goal for his team six minutes later to earn consolation. However, Aurangzeb senior sealed the win in the 83rd minute with his second and KESC’s fourth.

In the other match of the day, Pakistan Elektron Limited defeated Pakistan Navy 2-1.
