Scalding Summer: Heat paralyses routine activities
The Meteorological Department has said that the heat wave will continue in the coming week as well.

The heat wave in south Punjab continues. The mercury level registered 48 degrees Celsius in the city on Tuesday. The intensity of heat appeared to have paralysed all routine activities. Very little attendance was observed in public schools, colleges and offices. The streets appeared more or less deserted as well. Doctors have suggested people to stay at home and remain hydrated in order to avoid heat stroke or dehydration. The Meteorological Department has said that the heat wave will continue in the coming week as well.
