Software contest: Three NUML students prove scientific innovation

Three students of National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad have proved their mettle at a software competition which was organised by the Foundation of Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST) University, said a press release.
Abdul Wali, Mehwish Hamid and Kanwal Rani have developed software “Text to Sign Language Interpreter” which is of great help to special people suffering from hearing and sight losses.
The students displayed the software in National Students Convention 2014 (NaSCon-14) being organised at FAST University.
“These projects were supervised by our teacher Attaullah Ghafoor and it is his guidance which made us confident to participate in such a competition,” the students said.
“We are now in a position to perform better in the field of software development”, they added.
National University of Modern Languages Rector Maj-Gen Masood Hassan felicitated the students for their achievement. He also announced cash prizes and merit certificates for the students.
