Petty dispute: Two killed in firing outside civil court in Karak

Opponents open fire at two brothers, relatives over an argument .

KARAK:
A firing incident outside a civil court in Takht-e-Nusrati, Karak on Tuesday resulted in the death of two people and injuries to two others.

According to Takht-e-Nusrati police official Yousaf Khan, Musarat Khan, a resident of Frontier Region Bannu, filed a case stating he and his brother Sohail had come to the court to obtain bail before arrest in a case.

Musarat added the bail request was accepted and they were leaving the court along with their relatives when Raziq and Muhammad Khan opened fire at them.

According to Musarat, the accused had been sitting outside the court building waiting for them. Sohail died on the spot, while Khan’s relatives Abdullah and Taj Ali along with a pedestrian, Sahib Rahman, sustained injuries.


Police official Yousaf said the accused managed to escape while the injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, but Abdullah died on the way. Ali and Rahman were said to be stable.

Yousaf added initial investigation revealed Sohail had an argument with the accused three days ago following which they had threatened to kill him.

Further investigation of the incident is under way.
