ISLAMABAD:


The Punjab metro bus authority has decided to get helicams — drones fitted with cameras — to keep an eye on the construction work of metro bus project. The only problem is that they forgot to consult security officials.

Project Implementation Committee Chairman Hanif Abbasi said the project would be completed in due time and no compromise would be made on the quality of construction work.


While talking to The Express Tribune, he said that no laxity or negligence over the construction work would be tolerated and all departments including CDA, Sui Northern Gas Company, Iesco and PTCL should liaison for shifting their services.


Meanwhile, an Islamabad Capital Territory Administration said the use of helicams would not be allowed due to security concerns.
